Peace Poster

2012-2013 Lions International Peace Poster winner. For the last 3 years we have won locally and then last year we won at state level. This year my student won at Internatioal level winning Merit. She received $500 for her winning poster. So proud of her! Her poster is 1 out of the 24 International posters that won at Merit level.

Espresso Artwork

Every year my 8th grade students learn how to use espresso shots that are donated from Starbucks to create a painting. After teaching them how to use this material, students donate their artwork for auction. All proceeds from the auction go to their charity of choice. Last fall, students raised $270.00 through their auction and donated the money to the SEK Humane Society. During the auction, Starbucks hosted a art show.
